Employment Specialist/Job Coach

Company Description DDRC (Developmental Disabilities Resource Center) provides innovative services that create opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and their families in Colorado to participate fully in community life. Guided by the values of quality, dignity, and choice, DDRC supports nearly 3,500 individuals through comprehensive resource coordination. Services are offered to people from infancy through older adulthood, including those with intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and other developmental disabilities. DDRC serves individuals and families in Jefferson, Gilpin, Clear Creek, and Summit counties, collaborating with community partners to expand access to meaningful inclusion and support. Role Description The Employment Specialist/Job Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in the Denver Metropolitan Area. This position supports individuals with developmental disabilities in obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment by providing job coaching, skill-building, and ongoing workplace support. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing employment interests and abilities, developing individualized employment plans, and coordinating with employers to identify suitable job opportunities. The role involves providing on-the-job training, modeling appropriate work behaviors, monitoring performance, and collaborating with supervisors to promote inclusive work environments. The Employment Specialist/Job Coach also maintains accurate documentation, participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, and communicates regularly with individuals, families, and community partners to ensure successful employment outcomes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Job Coaching and Coaching skills to support individuals in learning job tasks, improving performance, and building confidence in the workplace. Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to interact effectively with individuals, families, employers, and team members. Candidates should possess Career Counseling and vocational guidance skills to help individuals explore interests, set employment goals, and develop career paths. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in human services, social work, or vocational rehabilitation is highly beneficial. Knowledge of person-centered planning, workplace accommodations, and inclusive employment practices is preferred. Ability to travel locally within the Denver Metropolitan Area and to work in various community and workplace settings as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., human services, psychology, social work, education) is preferred. Basic computer skills for documentation, email, and reporting; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
