Activity Director We are a fun, friendly, locally owned senior retirement community. We are looking for a fun, outgoing, energetic individual to join our team to lead the activities in our assisted living community. This successful candidate will directly interact with the wonderful residents of our community by planning and carrying out our daily activities. The pay range is $14.00 - $17.00 depending on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the residents are met through the activities provided in the community. Plan, prepare, and post a monthly activity calendar that includes the five components of Recreational Therapy. Coordinate and perform the activities listed on the monthly calendar. Maintain and improve relationships with the residents, family members and community staff by planning special functions where the residents, families and staff can interact. Assist with transportation of residents as needed. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise any other staff in the Activity Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the activity department direction. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, resolving concerns and complaints. #J-18808-Ljbffr
