Job Overview:

A Fleet Supervisor is responsible for anything and everything that involves “DIGUSA” fleet of vehicles and equipment. This responsible individual will oversee the process of procuring the assets, maintaining and replacing the assets to maximize the efficient lifecycle of all company’s assets.

The Fleet Supervisor will oversee all assets including their operation, condition, maintenance, external & internal policy compliance and overall performance during its life cycle and what is in the best interest of the company and Sr. Management.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a significant and consistent presence in the field and at active job sites. This position is not primarily office-based and requires regular travel to monitor company-owned, leased, and rented equipment.
• Manage all rental equipment assigned to job sites, including coordinating orders, deliveries, transfers, extensions, maintenance, repairs, and timely returns. Rental items may include but are not limited to heavy construction equipment, small tools, pumps, and trench safety items.
• Maintain accurate records of rental equipment locations, assigned projects, rental periods, costs, condition, and return dates to prevent unnecessary charges and equipment loss.
• Communicate regularly with field personnel, vendors, and project leadership regarding equipment needs, availability, condition, maintenance issues, and upcoming returns.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of all company-owned, leased, and rented assets.
• Support field operations by ensuring assets and rental equipment are available, properly maintained, cost-effective, and positioned to support maximum productivity and profitability.
• Research and recommend the appropriate assets and equipment based on operational needs, project requirements, and company budgets.
• Manage vehicle licensing, registration, insurance, and other regulatory requirements for all applicable assets.
• Advise senior management when assets should be repaired, replaced, retired, sold, or otherwise disposed of based on performance, condition, utilization, and expenses.
• Conduct regular field inspections of vehicles, equipment, and other assets to verify their location, condition, proper use, functionality, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and necessary repairs and work directly with job-site personnel to promptly resolve equipment and asset issues.
• Oversee fuel purchases, EZPass accounts, warranty claims, parts purchases, safety concerns, vehicle registrations, insurance processes and claims with Erie Insurance, asset files, and Samsara GPS tracking.
• Work with Accounts Payable to ensure asset, equipment, rental, repair, and maintenance expenses are accurately coded and allocated.
• Oversee inventory management for small assets and tools, including assignment, transfer, recovery, and accurate tracking.
• Develop, implement, and enforce asset and rental equipment management policies, procedures, and accountability standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day organization and management of the laydown yard, including coordinating and accepting deliveries, verifying materials and equipment received, maintaining accurate records, ensuring proper storage and placement, and communicating with field teams regarding pickups, transfers, and job-site needs.
