This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours per week. Why does the job exist? This position is being hosted at the Department of Veteran Services - Clovis Office. The fall intern will provide essential administrative support to Veteran Service Officers (VSOs). How does it get done? This position will: Assist with veteran intake Gathering and organizing documentation Conducting research on federal and state veterans' benefits Manage the day-to-day administrative operations Ensure veterans receive accurate information and efficient assistance in accessing the benefits and services Who are the customers? State of New Mexico employees, students, and constituents. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate would have: ¿ Strong writing skills ¿ Analytical skills ¿ Computer knowledge in Microsoft Suite ¿ Customer services skills Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university OR completion of at least four (4) semesters (or equivalent) at an accredited college or university within the last two (2) years. Employment Requirements Must have valid identification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
