Paving Superintendent

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Paving Superintendent to oversee all field operations for asphalt paving projects, ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This leadership role manages multiple paving crews across various sites, coordinates logistics and schedules, and serves as the key field liaison between project management, clients, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Supervise day‑to‑day paving operations across multiple active job sites Be competent in all aspects of parking lot maintenance, concrete repair, asphalt paving, seal‑coating, drain structure repairs, signage installation, and general heavy civil construction activities Plan, schedule, and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials for optimal productivity Ensure all work meets or exceeds specifications for quality, safety, and compliance Lead and mentor foremen, operators, and laborers to maintain high performance and crew morale Monitor and enforce site safety standards (OSHA, company policies, traffic control) Work closely with project managers to review plans, resolve issues, and align on scope and schedule Track production rates, equipment usage, labor hours, and material quantities Conduct daily site visits and meetings to assess progress and support field staff Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers Provide input on estimating, constructability, and project planning for upcoming work Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
