Clinical Dental Hygienist

Overview The School of Preventive and Therapeutic Sciences (SPaTS) at the University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking applications for Clinical Dental Hygienists. SPaTS is one of the largest divisions within the College of Health and includes the programs Dental Hygiene, Physical Therapist Assistant, Dietetics & Nutrition, and Speech Language Pathology. It operates a dental clinic that provides opportunities for students, staff, and community members to receive dental care. Responsibilities Examine patients and course x-rays. Apply current charting procedures. Monitor student hygienist work. Perform the work of a dental hygienist. Work under Dental Hygiene Faculty guidelines. Communicate with patients, faculty, staff, and students. Work during established clinic times. Minimum Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the State of Alaska. State of Alaska licensure. Current CPR/BLS training. Current local anesthesia permit. Position Details This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. It is a temporary, part‑time, non‑exempt staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
