How you'll make an impact in this role Prepare high-tech surgical environments by coordinating sterile instruments and specialized supplies to ensure seamless procedural flow. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by delivering precise instrumentation during complex cardiovascular and neurosurgical cases. Safeguard patient wellbeing by meticulously monitoring instrument counts and maintaining a sterile field throughout the entire operative journey. Support critical clinical outcomes by assisting surgeons with hemostasis and patient positioning to ensure optimal surgical access and safety. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Surgical Tech credentialed from the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need Educational Foundation: Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Specialized Scrub Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience scrubbing for cardiothoracic or neurosurgical procedures.
