Who We Are

Stanley Reid is a specialized recruiting firm connecting top contractors with exciting IC/DoD opportunities. We're dedicated to a personalized, stress-free job search, matching your unique skills and goals with the perfect role.

About Our Client

Founded by IC/DoD veterans, our Maryland-based client prioritizes high-impact solutions over corporate growth, with work across MD and VA. They maintain a flat, "people-first" culture where senior leaders work alongside engineers to solve complex challenges in Big Data, Analytics, and Cloud Services. This is not a "cheeks-in-seats" shop; If you aren't enjoying your project or if a contract is affected by funding, they are primed to pivot you to a better-aligning role. This commitment to long-term fit has resulted in a zero-layoff history since 2013. Along with strong salaries, they offer a comprehensive benefits package including full family medical coverage, immediate 401k vesting, 30+ days of PTO, and generous tuition reimbursement.

The Role

Our client is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join a software engineering team focused on streamlining delivery processes and maintaining high-performance infrastructure. In this role, you will automate, build, deploy, and monitor systems for scalable applications, with a heavy focus on IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and container orchestration via Kubernetes. Key responsibilities include managing GitLab CI pipelines, provisioning cloud environments in AWS/Azure, and ensuring system resilience through proactive monitoring. There are multiple options available, with new opportunities opening weekly. Salaries range from $170k - $260k, commensurate with experience and LCATs.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: BS and 7+,14+ or 20+ years in DevOps or related technical roles. Years of experience can replace degrees.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux/Unix (RHEL) and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Cloud & Automation: Hands-on experience with AWS, infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible), and version control (Git).
• Containers: Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• CI/CD: Familiarity with Atlassian, GitLab, or similar toolsuites.

Clearance Requirements

TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required. We are not able to upgrade clearances or accept CCAs. Please note, you must have the required clearance for consideration; under-cleared applicants will not receive a response.
