American Workforce Group has partnered with an established, premier moving and storage leader based in Lacey, WA to hire a full-time, professional Class A CDL Driver (qualified Class B drivers with proven moving background are also welcome to apply!).

TOP-TIER HOURLY PAY AT $28.00/HR WITH A MONDAY–FRIDAY SCHEDULE! In this active, high-service transportation role, you will operate commercial trucks across local, short-haul, and regional routes while leading on-site moving and storage operations. You will not only maneuver commercial vehicles safely through residential neighborhoods and commercial dock bays, but also work hands-on with moving crews to pack, blanket-wrap, stage, load, and offload high-value furniture, household goods, office suites, and palletized storage vaults. Featuring early morning dispatches (typically starting at 4:00 AM) that let you beat Puget Sound corridor gridlock, this full-time role offers predictable weekday schedules, solid overtime potential, and comprehensive rollover benefits. • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractors, trailers, straight trucks) across dedicated local, short-haul, and regional moving routes.
• Direct and participate in hands-on freight handling: pad, wrap, strap, pack, load, and offload residential household goods, commercial office furniture, and delicate freight.
• Meticulously inspect cargo before loading, verify moving manifests and inventory sheets, and ensure weight distribution complies with DOT axle limits.
• Conduct thorough, compliant DOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections (air brakes, tires, coupling devices, emergency equipment).
• Utilize ramps, liftgates, four-wheel dollies, appliance hand trucks, and logistic straps to prevent cargo and property damage.
• Provide exceptional, courteous, and professional customer service directly in client homes and corporate commercial facilities.
• Maintain clean, up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) hours-of-service logs, delivery receipts, bills of lading (BOLs), and customer sign-offs.
• Access regional port facilities and secure industrial terminals utilizing an active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Strictly adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA), Washington State DOT rules, and company safety procedures.

• Pay Rate: $28.00 / hour .
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday (Guaranteed weekday routine with weekends off!).
• Shift Hours: Typically early morning dispatches starting at 4:00 AM (Must maintain open availability across a 4:00 AM – 9:00 PM operational window depending on daily haul length and customer delivery schedules).
• Route Types: Local, short-haul, and regional transport routes.
• Licensing Flexibility: Valid Class A CDL required (Experienced Class B CDL drivers with solid moving and storage industry experience are encouraged to apply!).
• Location: Lacey, WA dispatch facility (convenient commute from Thurston, Pierce, and Lewis Counties).
• Position Type: Full-Time, long-term opportunity with strong rollover stability.

• Licensing: Valid Washington State Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) and a current DOT Medical Card (Class B considered with verified moving experience).
• Driving Tenure: Minimum of 2 years of professional commercial truck driving experience .
• Industry Background: Prior professional moving, household goods (HHG) transport, or specialized freight handling experience is required .
• Credentials: Active TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required for port and secured facility access.
• Driving Record: Clean, insurable Motor Vehicle Record; must be able to provide a current 3-year or 5-year driving abstract.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: High-stamina, physically demanding role requiring the strength and agility to lift, carry, push, and maneuver heavy furniture, appliances, and crates weighing up to 75+ lbs repetitively.
• Punctual morning attendance habits, reliable transportation, and professional customer communication skills.
