Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, providing you the flexibility to work from home while being a part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference. You will be stationed within a detox center context, which offers a unique environment where you will engage with clients who require both mental health and substance abuse support. Regular business hours are expected, although flexibility for occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary based on client needs and designated program activities.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their social, emotional, and environmental challenges, with a focus on their unique recovery journeys.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans that encompass client-centered goals and interventions to promote their mental health.

• Provide psychotherapy and supportive counseling sessions to individuals and families, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to their specific needs.

• Engage clients in collaborative discussions to enhance their self-efficacy and connect them with necessary social services and community resources.

• Deliver crisis intervention services, including risk assessments and safety planning, to ensure the wellbeing of at-risk clients.

• Work alongside community agencies and organizations to coordinate multifaceted services and advocate for clients’ rights and needs.

• Participate in community outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness of mental health and substance abuse issues, alongside promoting the services offered by Together For Change Center.

• Engage in regular case conferences and collaborative team meetings to evaluate the progress of client care and stay aligned with best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work primarily with individuals in varying stages of detoxification from substances, many of whom may be facing dual diagnoses. The clients you support will benefit from your expertise in navigating both mental health and substance abuse challenges, ultimately aiding them in their recovery process and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
