Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position To study therapeutic resistance mechanisms and tumor‑microenvironment interactions in glioblastoma. Research Projects The Muthukrishnan lab at the Department of Oncology Science and the NCI‑designated OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated, creative and ambitious postdoctoral fellow to study epigenetic mechanisms of treatment resistance and tumor‑microenvironment interactions in glioblastoma. Research projects in this newly established laboratory will focus on: a) investigating vascular‑macrophage interactions in mediating GBM immunosuppression, and b) understanding molecular mechanisms of therapeutic resistance and plasticity in GBM. These projects will utilize a combination of patient‑derived cell lines and mouse models, and cutting‑edge technologies such as CRISPR and multi‑omics approaches including single‑cell RNA‑sequencing, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics to identify potential therapeutics for targeting GBM. Responsibilities Perform research. Write manuscripts. Submit fellowship applications. Assist in grant proposals. Present findings at local and national meetings. Qualifications Ph.D. in cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, or a relevant field. Strong background in cell culture, mouse models, basic and advanced molecular biology techniques. Experience and expertise with omics data analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and implement new techniques.
