Exciting Opportunity for RN Med Surg Days in Riverton Job Description: - Join our dynamic team of Med/Surge Nurses and provide direct, individualized nursing care to a diverse patient population. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. - Prepare and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, IV) while meticulously recording each process. - Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in line with nursing policies. - Educate patients about surgical procedures and provide them with customized education plans. - Record patients’ medical information and vital signs accurately and efficiently. - Monitor specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays to ensure patient safety. - Act swiftly in adverse situations, initiating corrective actions to safeguard patient health. - Deliver bedside care to a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery cases. - Teach patients and their families how to manage illnesses/injuries post-treatment. - Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs, contributing to patient comfort and recovery. - Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. - Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols. - Participate in discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients. - Utilize exceptional time management skills to maximize efficiency in a fast-paced environment. - Document all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner. - Take on additional role-specific duties as assigned, based on the setting.
