AI Platform Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to join their team. As an AI Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Data & AI Department supporting innovative AI development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

What's the Job?

• Build and maintain the MLOps / LLMOps platform enabling deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of AI/LLM applications.
• Implement evaluation frameworks to monitor drift, hallucinations, regressions, and compliance.
• Configure and operate observability tools such as Arize AI or equivalent for evaluation, metrics, and monitoring.
• Develop pipelines for model/agent performance evaluation, data/usage drift detection, and guardrail monitoring.
• Implement deployment automation, CI/CD, versioning, and role-based controls for AI workloads, ensuring enterprise safety, compliance, and governance standards are met.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in MLOps / platform engineering supporting machine learning or LLM-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM observability platforms (e.g., Arize AI).
• Strong understanding of deployment patterns for LLM applications, including agentic and non-agentic frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, model registries, telemetry logging frameworks, and operational monitoring.
• Proficiency with Python engineering and cloud-native services, preferably Azure.
