Warehouse Technician
Location: Houston, TX (100% Onsite) Duration: 3 Months Contract (contract to hire) Pay range: $16.00-$18.17 per hour on W2
Job Description:
- Prepares products for work orders and/or shipments, determines shipping mode, estimates shipment value, determines appropriate insurance amount, and contacts carriers for pick up.
- Returns merchandise to stock and credits work order items not needed by production.
- May contact carriers to arrange shipments.
- Verifies, completes, and keeps necessary records on incoming and/or outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and/or outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Returns merchandise to stock and credits work order items not needed by production.
- Verifies quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment.
- Required to perform warehouse duties.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment while working and within the boundaries of production.
Must Have:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Shipping/Receiving
- Basic computer skills required
- Helpful to have some warehouse and inventory control experience
