Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,300 per week

Position Travel Labor and Delivery RN Company Fusion Medical Staffing Location Facility in Nebraska City, Nebraska Job Details Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families Administer prescribed medications and treatments Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures Comply with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification Preferred Qualifications AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities: Stay in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, bend Interpersonal Skills: Work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills: Fine manipulation, push/pull, assistance with procedures and use of department equipment Mental Requirements: Handle frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently or with minimal supervision, maintain concentration during irregular activity schedules Sensory: Visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and Short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs Other Duties Disclaimer To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
