Lead Continuous Visual Monitoring Technician-Delnor Patient Monitoring Full Time Days

Description The schedule for this position is five 8‑hour shifts per week 7a – 3:30p with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating holidays throughout the year required. The LeadContinuous Visual Monitoring Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsibilities Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring of patients identified to be at risk for causing injury to themselves or others. Offers basic comfort measures, addresses emotional needs, and applies de‑escalation techniques as appropriate. Monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring on site at Delnor Hospital. Provides verbal redirection of designated patients from risk behaviors and summons appropriate staff via communication device or STAT Alert Alarm when needed. Performs intake operations: receives order, sets up Artisight camera, enters patient info, receives hand‑off from unit staff, ensures camera is functioning, and assigns patient to CVM tech. Manages discharge: ensures order is discontinued in Epic and cross‑checks orders versus camera numbers. Assists with high‑acuity patients and troubleshoots issues with IT, Artisight, Epic, etc. Collects data including per‑hospital and camera usage statistics. Staffing responsibilities: daily assignment for next shift, admission/discharge management liaison with staffing office, break coverage, overall scheduling for assigned shift, leads shift huddle. Primary onboarding team member, schedules orientation, facilitates check‑ins, and ensures competencies are completed timely. Qualifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
