Step into a rewarding opportunity working with an elementary Autism-focused classroom as a Special Education Teacher. This contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, concluding on June 9, 2027. You’ll make a meaningful difference each day, guiding students with extensive support needs and collaborating with a dedicated team to enhance their educational experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Credential with authorization for extensive support needs
• Demonstrated experience in special education, particularly with students on the autism spectrum
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead an elementary classroom currently serving 11 students (with the possibility of adjustment throughout the year)
• Provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and curriculum modification for learners with autism and significant support needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in coordination with therapists, specialists, and families
• Maintain consistent engagement with parents or guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Document interventions, track progress, and contribute to a positive classroom culture
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
