Secondary Math Teacher | Grades 6 to 12 | Apple Valley, MN

Most students who say they are bad at math were never taught by someone who believed they could be good at it. Behind every student who finally gets it is a teacher who refused to give up on them.

This role is for that teacher.

A charter school in Apple Valley, Minnesota is looking for a Secondary Math Teacher to teach students in grades 6 through 12. This is a contract position with a school that integrates fitness, character development and teamwork into the academic experience alongside rigorous mathematics instruction.

What you will be doing:

• Teaching secondary mathematics courses including Intermediate Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra and Statistics
• Planning and delivering instruction aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards
• Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of all learners
• Using formative and summative assessments to monitor and adjust instruction
• Incorporating technology and innovative strategies to enhance mathematics learning
• Collaborating with colleagues to analyze student data and strengthen curriculum alignment
• Communicating regularly with students, parents and school staff on academic progress

What you need to bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related field
• Valid Minnesota teaching license in Secondary Mathematics or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics curriculum and instructional best practices
• Ability to teach multiple secondary mathematics courses
• Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners
• Strong classroom management and relationship building skills
