Registered Nurse - Orthopedic

Job Summary:

Provide specialized orthopedic nursing care within a high-acuity unit, ensuring patient safety and promoting optimal recovery. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based interventions and support patient education.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with physician orders.
  
  
• 
  Perform comprehensive assessments and document clinical findings using Epic charting system.
  
  
• 
  Support patient recovery through wound management, mobility assistance, and rehabilitation activities.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, medication management, and discharge instructions.
  
  
• 
  Maintain adherence to safety protocols, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic charting and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
  
  
• 
  Able to work night shifts and support flexible scheduling, including weekends.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and patient-centered care delivery.
