We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Expeditor who thrives on keeping operations running smoothly. Our ideal candidate excels at problem-solving, has a keen eye for accuracy, and takes pride in ensuring timely and efficient product flow. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with vendors, purchasing agents, and internal teams while maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
A Day in the Life:
As a Purchasing Expeditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely flow of products within and outside the organization. You'll work closely with vendors, purchasing agents, and internal teams to track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and keep everything running efficiently. This role is based at our Corporate Offices in Tacoma and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of ordered goods and shipping schedules.
- Confirm shipping dates and product details with vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Update and correct purchase orders as needed.
- Monitor shipping notices to anticipate and resolve potential delivery issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, purchasing agents, and receiving teams to process returns of damaged or defective products.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external business partners.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from internal teams and vendors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support department operations.
Key Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is imperative in this role.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Strong Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
- Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Works independently while contributing to team success.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive, organized, and ready to take initiative.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per week, in-office.
- Pay Range: $22 - $28 per hour
- Annual Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus
