Nutrition Services Driver$5,000 Sign-OnPosition PurposeThe Nutrition Services Driver performs a variety of nutrition services activities including transporting food and equipment to and from facilities via the facility vehicle and assisting in the nutrition services department.Responsibilities And Tasks- Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.- Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor/designee.- Transports food and supplies to and from facilities.- Records and submits all required food safety documentation and escalates non-compliance to supervisor or manager immediately.- Restocks food and supply storage as assigned.- Assists nutrition services aides as needed.- Assists cooks as needed.- Completes assigned cleaning tasks for vehicle and nutrition work areas.- Communicates effectively regarding all aspects of job responsibilities.- Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.- Maintains current license.- Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments.- Meets position requirements and performs essential functions.- Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date.- Reports questionable situations, concerns, complaints or harassment immediately.- Performs other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsLicense or Certification:- Valid driver's license required.- Food Handler Certificate required. Minimum Qualifications:- High School diploma or GED preferred.- Previous transportation experience preferred.- Previous food service experience preferred.- Must be 25 years of age or older.Machines, Equipment Used:- General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.- Transportation vehicle and associated minor repair equipmentPhysical Requirements- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.Skills And Abilities- Oral communication, written communication, active listening. Must be able to speak and understand English.- Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking.- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.Environmental Conditions- Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment.
