Operations Specialist

Job Title Operations Specialist Location Santa Monica, CA (Onsite, 4 days per week; on-site work schedule may change) Overview Solid State Studios is an in‑house mobile game studio. The Operations Specialist works closely with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes, coordinate resources, and provide support that enables the studio to scale efficiently. Responsibilities Take ownership of tasks from initiation to completion. Continuously evaluate operational and development processes for efficiency and develop governance where needed. Manage on‑site resources, including supporting team members. Optimize hiring capabilities and team development with support teams. Review and update project contracts, reconcile forecasts, and provide financial insights that meet business targets. Assist project leads and Operations Director in evaluating plans and identifying constraints to meet goals. Coordinate operational planning with the central Studio Ops team, including governance schedules and headcount/financial planning. Improve onboarding, purchasing, and contractual processes across studios working on critical titles. Clearly document processes and project status updates. Respond to studio shift and change‑management requests to meet evolving business priorities. Minimum Requirements Passion for process, excellence, and achievement. 3+ years of experience managing complex projects with a proven record of success. Ability to influence without direct authority across multiple teams. Strong accountability, punctuality, and reliability. Strong critical‑thinking, organization, time‑management, and analytical skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and people‑alignment skills. Experience with project planning and change management. Broad experience with gaming functions: production, marketing, design. Ability to multitask under complex deadlines. Compensation Hourly base pay range: $26.83 – $49.63 (U.S.) with potential for incentive compensation. Final offer based on experience, performance, and location.
