We are seeking a mid-level Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineer to support our industrial stormwater and wastewater practice, including permit compliance support and treatment design. This role offers a hybrid work schedule in our Tacoma, Washington office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support projects involving compliance with Washington (ISGP) and Oregon (1200-Z) industrial stormwater general permits, including SWPPP preparation, stormwater monitoring, BMP selection, and overall client support for permit compliance tracking
• Assist with the design and implementation of stormwater conveyance and treatment systems and industrial wastewater pretreatment systems, including hydraulic analysis of pumping/piping systems
• Support industrial wastewater permitting and compliance activities, including State Waste Discharge Permit and Individual NPDES permit applications and renewals
• Develop sampling and analysis plans and conduct pollutant source identification
• Collaborate with project teams, and support project managers with high quality technical deliverables
• Manage projects and provide responsive client communications

This position is available for the candidate who has:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in industrial stormwater and/or wastewater
• Working knowledge of industrial stormwater permitting and treatment system design
• Experience preparing engineering reports, calculations, and permit documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in WA or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
• Current, valid driver's license

Landau Associates offers an excellent compensation and benefits package in an environment that promotes personal growth and professional advancement. The salary range for this position is $105,500 – $140,000. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, performance, location, and internal equity.
