Patient Access Representative - Per-Diem

Description Status/Hours: Per-Diem Job Summary This position is responsible for accurately collecting and entering patient demographic and insurance information, along with performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor. All duties are carried out with a strong emphasis on patient safety, satisfaction, accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Responsibilities Professionally receiving and directing telephone calls and inquiries Greets and assists patients, visitors, and staff entering the hospital Obtains initial patient information, including demographics and insurance information; reviews and maintains patient data. Requirements Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have excellent telephone etiquette. Schedule With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other departments.
