Industrial Maintenance Technician

Full Time

Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Annually

Seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of overhead cranes , material handling equipment , industrial machinery , and facility equipment. In this role, you will apply hands-on expertise in troubleshooting , equipment inspection , mechanical repair , and preventive maintenance to support customer facility operations, minimize equipment downtime, and improve production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine equipment inspections , preventive maintenance, service, and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment, including overhead cranes , below-the-hook lifting devices , hydraulic systems , pneumatic systems , electric motors , conveyors , and PLCs .
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools , technical documentation, and systematic root cause troubleshooting techniques.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime, improve equipment reliability, and extend machinery service life.
• Perform industrial equipment repair , maintenance, adjustments, and component replacement as required.
• Collaborate with management and customer operations teams to identify opportunities for equipment reliability , safety, and operational improvements and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance using applicable maintenance management software .
• Read and interpret electrical schematics , mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and blueprints when diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA safety requirements , customer safety procedures, and industry standards during all maintenance and repair activities.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance , electrical, mechanical, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance , equipment maintenance , field service, or a related technical role.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems , electrical systems , hydraulic systems , and pneumatic systems .
• Proficiency with hand tools , power tools , diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics , mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work alternate shifts when required to meet production or customer requirements.
• Ability to work at heights and operate a forklift/fork truck, scissor lift , and boom lift .
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Preferred:

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with overhead crane maintenance , overhead crane inspections , crane service and repair, and/or industrial machine maintenance .
• Experience troubleshooting and servicing PLCs , VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) , and radio control systems .
• Certifications or training in OSHA 10/30 , MIG welding , TIG welding , stick welding , or electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Expertise in industrial troubleshooting , inspection, maintenance, and repair of overhead cranes, industrial machinery, and material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting , mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulic troubleshooting, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance management software used to track work orders, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting , VFDs, motors, controls, and radio-controlled equipment is preferred.
• Understanding of industrial automation systems and robotics is a plus.
