Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and other assessment tools
• Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the obstetric care team
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and established clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery expectations, and postpartum care

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Prior experience in Labor and Delivery nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (Intermediate or Advanced)
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
