Who Are We Hiring?

Kansas City Current is seeking an Accounting Analyst that will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a proven track record of detail and accuracy. The Accounting Analyst will support all elements of the accounting function.

What Will You Do?

• Complete month-end close activities to ensure a timely close
• Complete balance sheet account reconciliations on timely basis
• Create, monitor and post prepaid and accrual entries
• Assist the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Maintain financial reporting for match day related revenue and expenses
• Support preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis of actual to budget throughout the year
• Support modeling and actual reporting for third party stadium events
• Assist in gathering and preparing information for the annual financial audit
• Assist with other external and internal reporting

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Must possess the ability to work independently, make decisions, take appropriate actions, and follow through tasks to completion within a fast-paced environment with deadlines

Preferred

• Public accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics-Business Central and Solver Reporting
• Advanced excel skills

Special Requirements of the Job:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
• Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
