Sit-Down Forklift OperatorOverview Summary

Summit Staffing is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklift equipment, moving materials, and supporting shipping and production functions while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Location: Coppell, Texas
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $18.00

Shift Options:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down electric or propane forklifts to move materials and products safely
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and warehouse racks
• Transport materials to production and shipping areas as needed
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines at all times

Skills & Experience

• 2–3 years of sit-down forklift experience (electric and/or propane)
• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
• Strong attention to safety and workplace procedures
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification
• Experience working in fast-paced production or shipping environments

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse and production setting
• Standing, walking, and operating equipment throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Required PPE may include steel-toed shoes and safety gear as assigned
• Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term placement based on performance
