Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow

Join Our Team at Community Therapy Services in San Fernando, CA! In this position under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor II, the Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow provides assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, implement speech and language programs or activities as planned under the supervision of a licensed SLP Outcome Measures: Provide intervention in the form of direct therapy, consultation, monitoring, and/or written programs Conduct client screenings and/or assessments of language, voice, fluency, or articulation Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Child Development Specialists, Mental Health Professionals, and Behavior Analysts Collect and compile data to document clients' performance Role-Based Competencies: Work Ethic: Demonstrates commitment to supporting children's speech and language development and family engagement, consistently following through on responsibilities with professionalism and integrity. Organization and planning: Effectively manages schedules, session planning, and documentation to ensure interventions and coaching are delivered on time and in alignment with IFSP goals. Aggressiveness: Provides guidance to families, and addresses challenges promptly to optimize child outcomes. Attention to detail: Ensures accurate and complete documentation, tracks child progress carefully, and verifies that interventions are implemented correctly and consistently. Efficiency: Uses time and resources effectively to balance multiple children, families, and responsibilities without compromising quality of care or support. Intelligence: Applies knowledge of speech and language development and provides best practices to assess needs, problem-solve, and make informed decisions for individualized interventions under the guidance of the supervising SLP. Responsibilities: Arrive at the scheduled session on time Dress appropriately and follow the guidelines in the BLC-SSG handbook Communicate any changes in scheduling (e.g., make-ups, cancellations) to both parents, administrative team, and supervisor Follow the missed shift policy Meet with licensed supervisor for mentorship and case reviews Accept, follow, and implement directions from supervisor(s) and Regional Clinical Director Attend team meetings on a quarterly basis Maintain effective case load management to optimize service delivery Complete any additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s) Job Qualifications: A master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorder Active California State temporary licensure Clinical practicum experience with early intervention The Stepping Stones Mission Together, we are transforming the lives of children and families, improving the quality of therapeutic and behavioral services, and joining with like-minded therapists, clinicians and educators in order to have a greater impact in our communities.
