Position Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to become a part of our Division of Rheumatology. This role provides a chance to engage in comprehensive rheumatology practice within a collaborative and academically driven setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an outpatient rheumatology practice addressing a wide array of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Fulfill inpatient consultation duties.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary clinics and innovative care models.
  • Gain exposure to a variety of complex rheumatologic conditions.
  • Contribute to a vibrant academic atmosphere by teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in or develop clinical and/or translational research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and other support personnel.
Qualifications
  • MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.
  • Proven clinical proficiency in managing rheumatologic diseases.
  • A strong dedication to medical education and mentorship.
  • Interest or experience in clinical research is highly valued.
  • Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations.
