EXECUTIVE PASTRY CHEF

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are searching for an exceptional Executive Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and baking program at a luxury hotel in the Middle East. This is a department head role for a highly accomplished pastry professional with a strong pedigree in luxury hospitality, ideally with a French culinary arts background and experience with internationally acclaimed luxury brands. The successful candidate will bring creative vision, technical mastery, and the leadership skills to build and inspire a world-class pastry team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee all pastry and baking operations across the hotel, maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and consistency
- Design and execute innovative pastry menus, dessert offerings, signature confections, and artisan bread programs
- Recruit, train, and develop the pastry brigade, building a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership on overall menu strategy and special dining experiences
- Manage pastry kitchen operations, including production schedules, inventory, food costs, and supplier relationships
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the pastry kitchen
- Stay at the forefront of global pastry trends, introducing new techniques and concepts that elevate the property's culinary identity
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef within a luxury hotel or internationally recognized hospitality brand
- French culinary arts training or equivalent prestigious pastry education strongly preferred
- Exceptional technical skills across plated desserts, chocolate and sugar work, viennoiserie, and artisan bread
- Strong leadership and team development experience within a large-scale luxury kitchen environment
- Previous experience with luxury hotel brands is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of pastry cost management, inventory control, and kitchen administration
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
WHAT'S OFFERED
- Basic salary: QR 18,000 per month
- Benefits: Housing allowance (QR 9,000/month), transportation allowance (QR 1,200/month)
