Sr. Project Manager- Traffic

As a key member of our growing Indianapolis team, you will work on challenging projects and collaborate with top experts in the state. This opportunity involves managing assigned project(s) throughout their full lifecycle including developing scope, technical sections of proposals, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing delivery to achieve HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance: quality, on time, on budget, and client satisfaction. What You'll Do Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA). Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets, ensuring client satisfaction. Lead client contract scoping and negotiations. Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects. Implement the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA). Lead the development and execution of the project management plan. Supervise and mentor team members to meet overall project objectives. Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, succession, and performance reviews. Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to support business development, build client relationships, and pursue mega and super mega projects per HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Work with marketing resources to prepare proposals and presentation materials. Lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic or mega projects. What You'll Need Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 12 years of relevant experience. 4 years of successful management of engineering projects. What You'll Bring Experience delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined or large/complex projects. Proficiency in identifying and handling risk and change management independently. Ability to lead large teams internally and with sub-consultants. Skilled in using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects. Experience leading HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable to the project. Strong client interface skills. Capability to deploy talent to other projects and develop successors. What We Prefer Master’s degree in Engineering. 15 years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer (PE) certification. American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Locations: Indianapolis, IN; Valparaiso, IN; Westfield, IN (Carmel).
