Multimedia Producer And Video EditorAbdul for Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as a Multimedia Producer and Video Editor for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S. Senator.The Multimedia Producer and Video Editor is responsible for overseeing the video production lifecycle, from initial concept and scripting to shooting and editing in close collaboration with the Digital Director. This will be a full time position based in Ann Arbor, MI, although there is flexibility with remote work and a relocation timeline. This position offers compensation in the form of a monthly salary and healthcare benefits.Responsibilities:Shoot, produce, and edit video content for various platforms, ensuring high-quality standards and alignment with campaign messaging and brand guidelines.Concept, script, and storyboard videos that translate complex policy and political issues into emotionally resonant, human-centered stories.Manage post-production workflows including ingesting footage, syncing, rough cuts, color correction, sound design, and final delivery across formats.Incorporate feedback from the Digital Director and key stakeholders, maintaining creative integrity and efficiency through multiple rounds of notes.Rapidly turn around high-quality content in response to breaking news or campaign priorities, often within 24-hour timelines.Qualifications (Required):Proven ability to craft compelling visual narratives that resonate across social and digital platforms.Demonstrated experience as a one-person production unit: shooting, recording sound, and editing independently in dynamic environments.Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required)Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices for aspect ratios, runtimes, and audience engagement.Strong scriptwriting and copywriting skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into accessible, emotionally compelling language.Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities under tight deadlines.A minimum of 3 years work experience in video production, editing required and a minimum of 1 year in a campaign related role preferred.Must have transportation to attend events as neededProficiency with Excel and Google DriveWillingness to work irregular hours including some nights and weekends.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with a desire to learn and a willingness to ask questions.Ability to balance between competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.Commitment to electing Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate.Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence – the awareness, knowledge and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant and productive ways.Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability.Qualifications (Preferred):Experience directly filming with a principal candidate is a plus.Previous experience working in Michigan or on statewide or national races is strongly preferred.Familiarity with rapid response workflows, content approvals, and compliance processes in political environments.Graphic or motion design experience (e.g., lower thirds, subtitles, motion GFX) a plus.Abdul for Senate is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
