Misty Mountain Furniture is looking for an experienced Woodworker to join our growing team in Sandpoint, Idaho. We build both custom and standard cabinetry and furniture, taking pride in quality craftsmanship and treating every project like it's our own.
We're looking for someone who can step into more of a lead role on the shop floor. Ideally, you have 5 to 10 years of woodworking or cabinetmaking experience , enjoy solving problems, and take pride in producing exceptional work.
Just as important as experience, we're looking for someone who will be a great fit with our team. We value people who work hard, communicate well, maintain a positive attitude, and enjoy working alongside others who care about quality.
If you have a strong background in finish carpentry, custom woodworking, cabinetry, or related construction trades, we'd still encourage you to apply.
Location
This position is based in Sandpoint, Idaho .
Applicants should either:
- Live within commuting distance of Sandpoint, or
- Be willing to relocate.
Our schedule is four 10-hour shifts (Tuesday through Friday) , giving you a three-day weekend every week and limiting commuting to just four days each week.
What You'll Do
- Build custom and standard cabinetry and furniture
- Interpret shop drawings, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install woodworking components
- Operate woodworking equipment including:
- Table saws
- Chop saws
- Planers
- Sanders
- Various hand and power tools
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Work directly with customers when needed
- Help solve production challenges and keep projects moving
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Support and collaborate with a skilled, experienced team
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of woodworking, cabinetmaking, furniture building, or closely related experience preferred
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and woodworking techniques
- Comfortable operating common woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
- Ability to read plans, drawings, and measurements accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Dependable with excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job
Candidates with experience in finish carpentry, custom millwork, cabinet installation, or other high-end construction trades are encouraged to apply if they have transferable skills.
