Shift: 4x10s (6:45am to 5:15pm)

Number of ORs: 9 ORs

Is on-call required? Yes, call is required.

Will take 4 week days call and 1.5 weekends in a 4 week period

Weekend REQ: Weekends - on call at least one full weekend and one half weekend every 4 weeks

Will this traveler float between service lines? Yes

Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No

Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 years minimum

First time travelers accepted? Yes, only with experience in all areas

National Certs REQ: BLS, NBSTSA. MUSC does NOT accept NCCT

Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers

Types of Cases REQ: General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Eyes, Urology, ENT

Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? Requires manager’s approval upon request. Dependent on unit’s needs

Local Radius: 60-mile radius rule

Locals Accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate

RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs

Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift

Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
