Job description:

Job Title: Afternoon Diesel Mechanic (2pm-12am) minimum

Must have experience with Cummings/Detroit/Paccar Engines and Vacuum Truck knowledge. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, perform maintenance type work, perform routine and moderately complex scheduled preventive maintenance including DOT annual inspections, troubleshoot problems, and other assignments assigned by supervisor.

Key Tasks performed

• Performs truck and trailer inspections, oil changes, brake jobs, troubleshooting, electrical problems, inspects equipment (turbo, engine, a/c, all electrical)
• Responsible for maintenance and repairs on transport trucks, trailers and pickups
• Working in the shop or in the field, depending on work assignments or work location
• Perform routine DOT annual inspections
• Current Class A CDL (preferred not required)
• May operate forklift and/or service truck.
• Works under direct and indirect supervision.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Demonstrate a positive impact by promoting safety in decisions and actions.

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
