Hospice Volunteer - Summit County And Surrounding Areas
Volunteer activities available include:
- Sitting with patients to provide companionship, play games, and offer a friendly, comforting presence.
- Calling patients and their families to check on needs.
- Making blankets, quilts, pillows, and crafts for our patients.
- Providing support to our bereaved families by assisting with mailings, phone calls, and in-home grief support visits.
- And so much more!
- This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
Qualifications:
- Availability of time and skills that pertain to the volunteer activity
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and take directions well.
- Empathetic listening skills
- Ability to understand and tolerate hardship stories.
Time Commitment:
- The time commitment is flexible and can be adjusted to fit your schedule and availability.
