The successful candidate will have an extensive background with quality assurance, team leadership, project management, and demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results with focus on user experience.Key responsibilities:Develop testing strategies as well as be hands-on in leading your team through daily decision-making and high profile launches with constant changing timelinesWork efficiently with cross-functional teams, understand project requirements, plan the team’s deliverables and communicate effectivelyOwn functional areas, define testing strategies and create documentation while maintaining QA requirementsEstablished pattern of building strong teams – attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best engineersStrong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and QA processesFocus on continuous improvements including a good balance of appropriate testing tools, techniques and automationOversee resource allotment, resource schedules and delivery milestones to ensure that team and deadlines are metClosely manage timelines and resources by understanding priorities and team members' strengthsStrategically align and partner with development, product and UX teams building product knowledge enabling deeper testing collaborationManage a team of QA resources focusing on automation and gray-box testingBe accountable for the test automation projects, mentor, and provide leadership to the QA automation developersDrive the testing, data gathering, and project reporting for your teamCoordinate testing with other teams, review test plans and related documentation, monitor progress and get sign-offs at key milestones.Process data from multiple sources, draw meaningful conclusions, and present valuable recommendations to leadershipProvide leadership, technical expertise, and career development for individual QA contributorsRequirements:8+ years of direct people leadership and project management experienceStrong leadership and mentoring skills with previous experience of leading a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with key internal partners, skilled at influencing and communicating across cross-functional teamsExperience in automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.Experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScriptExperience working with Git, SVN, CMS, and defect tracking systemsProvide leadership, technical expertise, and career development for individual QA contributorsExperience with testing methodologies and processesMust display great ability to organize and prioritize deliverables to balance speed during high profile product launchesAbility to make key decisions and deliver results under extremely tight and stressful timelinesManage and provide estimates, scheduling, sourcing and oversight for all projectsParticipate in interviews, induction, training and performance evaluation of all QA membersBachelors in Computer Science or equivalentExceptional written and verbal communication skillsThe base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
