The primary purpose of this job is to fill prescriptions, help customers, unpack totes, answer telephone, and answer questions within specified limits. Team members are required to be either state or nationally certified.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Reviewing the work schedule, checking equipment, and filling supplies at the start of the shift.
• Moving totes, opening totes, unpacking incoming supplies, and putting items on appropriate shelves.
• Cleaning shelving, checking inventory levels, and inspecting products for expiration dates.
• Helping customers and answering telephone calls.
• Verifying identification of customers for products when required.
• Completing the prescription filling process, which includes data entry and product dispensing.
• Being state or nationally certified and maintaining license certification.
• If certified to immunize, completing the immunization process for customers.

Qualifications include:

• Being authorized to work in the U.S.
• Meeting state required minimum age.
• Successfully completing a background check and drug screening.
• Being able to read, write, communicate, and understand to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Completing the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Meeting the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Being able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Being able to perform all job functions safely.
• Meeting the company performance standards for the job.
• Agreeing to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Having and maintaining valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Physical requirements include:

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shift or more depending upon business needs.
• Job cycles: continual max.
• Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred requirements include:

• Understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual.
• Following all state and federal laws in compliance with pharmacy rules and standards.
• Knowing MSDS information about all materials used during work.
• Completing and following Lockout/Tagout training.
• Completing and following Confined Space training.
• Completing Right-to-Know training.
• Completing HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
• Completing all additional pharmacy training requirements.
