Position: Therapist (Occupational or Physical) Location: Aiea, HI Pay: $38/hour Type: Contract; Full-time or part-time opportunities available Schedule: Monday - Saturday clinic open 7:00am to 6:30 pm Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Therapist (Occupational or Physical) to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge assessments, and daily treatment sessions, and develop individualized treatment plans. Assess patients' functional limitations, strength, mobility, balance, and pain levels. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic policies, regulatory requirements, and payer guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and support staff to coordinate patient care. Ensure compliance with state licensure requirements, professional standards, and clinic protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment. Experience And Education Requirements Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program. Credentialed with major insurance carriers, including HMSA, TRICARE, Medicare, UHA, MDX, HMAA, and HMA. Current Physical Therapist license in good standing within the state of practice. CPR/BLS certification required. Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine setting. Certification in specialty areas such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Manual Therapy, or Sports Rehabilitation is preferred but not required. Experience treating a diverse patient population across various age groups.
