Overview We are currently recruiting a dependable and compassionate individual to fill a Culinary Aide position. Are you passionate about food and looking to make a difference? - Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menu plans, and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure meals are served on time, at the right temperature, and with care for client dignity and recovery support.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Properly handle and store food, ingredients, and leftovers.
- Collaborate with the Culinary Manager to support menu planning and inventory.
- Provide input on meal improvements based on client needs and preferences.
- Follow all sanitation, infection control, and dietary guidelines.
- Ability to cook meals from scratch in a high-volume setting.
- Familiarity with basic nutrition, dietary needs, and food handling best practices.
- Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to support those in recovery.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a structured, healthcare-related environment.
- Prior food service or cooking experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- ServSafe or other food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in a residential, healthcare, or institutional kitchen setting.
- Full-time, on-site position
