Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Floor duties including breathing treatments and managing respiratory equipment
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) tests and capillary sticks for I-Stats
• Assist in intubations as required
• Utilize Puritan Bennett 840's, BiPAP V60's, and High Flow-Airvo 2's equipment

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• ACLS, BLS (AHA) certifications
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
• Preferably have 3-4 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
