Oak Plains Academy (a UHS company) Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resilience in the residents we serve. Visit us online at: Responsibilities The Therapist will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of residents. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each resident. The individual is required to work with the Department of Child Services regarding child family team meetings and court hearings. Along with completing appropriate documentation. They will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned residents at Oak Plains Academy as required by contractual and licensure obligations. They will also participate in subsequent treatment planning, risk management assessment and aftercare and discharge planning. They will actively communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to residents and their family members, caregivers and placement options. Qualifications Job Requirements Master’s degree in social work/clinical services field required Licensed by the State of Tennessee in social work or related field, as a LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required Eligibility for licensure track in social work or related field acceptable. One to two years experience working with youth with emotional and/or behavioral diagnosis, required.
