ASSISTANT MANAGER Established BBQ Restaurant Group | Roseville, MI

The Role We're looking for an energetic, hands-on Assistant Manager to support our General Manager in leading day-to-day operations. This is a working management role — you'll be on the floor, in the thick of service, and an active presence for both your team and your guests. If you thrive in a high-energy, high-volume environment and love developing the people around you, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

Partner with the GM to oversee daily FOH and BOH operations, ensuring consistent execution of food quality, service standards, and guest satisfaction
Lead, coach, and develop hourly team members — you'll play a key role in training and building a strong, motivated crew
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and scheduling
Monitor food, beverage, and labor costs to support profitability goals
Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation
Support inventory control and ordering as needed
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
Support catering operations and special event execution when applicable
Step up in the GM's absence to keep operations running smoothly

What We're Looking For

2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service or high-volume casual dining environment
A hands-on leadership style — someone who leads from the floor, not the office
Strong communication and team-building skills
Experience with scheduling, cash handling, and basic cost control
A genuine commitment to guest experience and food quality
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
POS proficiency (Aloha or similar systems a plus)
ServSafe certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits

$60,000 – $67,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
