Job specification

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with life-limiting conditions in the Palliative Med Surg unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure comprehensive care plans that address both physical and emotional needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about disease progression, symptom management, and available resources for ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Candidate requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with significant experience will be considered.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in palliative care or medical-surgical settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA).
