Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in utilization review to evaluate patient records and ensure proper healthcare utilization. The role involves coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
- Review medical records to assess insurance coverage and appropriateness of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans aligned with utilization review guidelines.
- Document findings accurately and ensure timely reporting of review outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Stay updated on policies, procedures, and industry best practices for utilization review.
- Hold a valid New York State RN License.
- Possess at least 1 year of non-acute utilization review experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical documentation.
- Be proficient in primary source verification and clinical assessments.
- Hold current AHA BLS certification.
