Medical Collections Specialist

A Healthcare Organization is expanding its team and looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Medical Payment Collector to join their busy practice in Melville, NY! We are seeking a motivated professional with experience in medical collections, medical claims, revenue cycle management, or third-party claims processing looking for the next step in their career. salary: $24 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Manage aging reports for assigned insurance carriers. 

• Contact insurers to negotiate settlements and resolve outstanding balances. 

• Review and respond to EOBs, denials, and rejected claims. 

• Collect, review, and appeal unpaid or underpaid claims for quick resolution. 

• Record all appeal attempts in USMON software for tracking. 

• Accurately post payments to maintain up-to-date accounts. 

• Maintain a high level of productivity by following up with 30-35 claims per day.
