School Social Worker - Media, PA

Job Description

Make a real difference supporting students as a dedicated school-based social worker in a vibrant, engaging learning environment. This full-time contract opportunity spans 37.5 hours per week, with immediate openings to serve at either a middle school or elementary setting. Your expertise will help foster healthy development for students, families, and staff within an urban school community.

Start as soon as possible and continue through June 10, 2027, collaborating onsite during consistent school hours, 8:30 AM to 4 PM. As part of your role, you’ll advocate for student social and emotional well-being, coordinate support services, and serve as a vital resource for those facing academic or behavioral challenges.

What you bring:

School-based social work experience (required)
Active MSW license in Pennsylvania
Per state requirements, hold a valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate, or be an LSW/LCSW enrolled in a PDE-approved social worker program
Ability to complete all required PA clearances
Comfort and effectiveness working in an urban school setting
Commitment to disclosing district information before progressing in the process

Your responsibilities:

Provide direct student counseling and crisis intervention
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
Develop individualized plans to support student success
Connect students and families with community resources
Facilitate group sessions and workshops
