Medical Assistants (Bilingual)

We are hiring a Medical Assistants (Bilingual) for one of our clients in Kissimmee, FL.

Job Description:

• Assists nurses in the care and treatment of clients.
• Duties consist of working within the school health program to perform record reviews, health screenings, education and training on health services within the school health program.
• Duties will also include client communication, history taking, assistance with physical examinations, monitoring of immunization schedule for students in FL SHOTS and HMS.
• Will be required to take FL Shots training and basic VFC storage and handling trainings for immunization handling.
• Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments.
• Responsible for assisting with inventory of supplies for ordering as required.
• Ensures equipment and required paperwork is organized for next day departure.
• Responsibility to be punctual so that they are able to commute to required school for the day.
• Maintains positive attitude and clear communication with community partners, team members and supervisor.
• Also required is ability to make phone calls to various community partners in regard to upcoming screenings/compliance checks or for missing documents for upcoming events at the school.

Skills required:

• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• BLS CPR preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer software.
• Skill in using medical instruments or testing equipment.
• Skill in taking blood pressure readings.
• Ability to interview patients and obtain a complete medical history.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with others.
• Able to read/write/speak English proficiently
• History of working in a pediatric office setting.
• Collection of medical history.
• History completing vision, hearing and other medical screenings.
• History working with FL Shots/Immunization schedule.

• Mon Fri, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
