Fleet Maintenance Manager / CDL Diesel Mechanic

SYCS Trucking Company – Fleet Maintenance Manager Conley, GA SYCS Trucking Company is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, reliability, safety, and appearance of our 15-20-truck FedEx linehaul fleet. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for reducing breakdowns, maintaining compliance, tracking repairs, coordinating vendors, assigning equipment, and ensuring our fleet remains safe and road‑ready. Responsibilities Manage all preventative maintenance schedules Perform and oversee truck and trailer repairs Track maintenance records and repair history Monitor equipment condition and driver-reported defects Assign trucks to drivers Track driver-caused damage Coordinate outside vendors and repair facilities Respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary Maintain DOT compliance and inspection readiness Reduce roadside breakdowns and maintenance violations Manage inventory, parts, and maintenance supplies Ensure fleet cleanliness and professional appearance Requirements CDL Class A preferred Diesel mechanic experience required Strong diagnostic skills Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations Ability to work independently Strong organizational and communication skills Compensation $65,000 base annually Company service truck provided Company phone Performance bonuses available $75 per after hours Road-call (compensation for after-hours emergency responses) 90-Day Goals – Fleet Maintenance Manager First 30 Days Inspect all 23 trucks Create fleet condition report Establish PM schedule Build damage tracker Build repair tracker Review all open maintenance issues Days 31–60 Eliminate overdue PMs Implement driver defect reporting process Create vendor list and pricing comparisons Reduce repeat repair issues Establish weekly fleet status report Days 61–90 100% PM compliance Reduce roadside breakdowns Reduce maintenance violations Implement truck assignment tracking Establish monthly maintenance budget reporting Serious / Qualified Candidates only who has a passion for this line of work only need appl call or text Heather @ View phone number on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr SYCS TRUCKING COMPANY
